The Moses Lake Roundup, Moses Lake, Washington’s rodeo, is showcasing just how innovative they are. The Moses Lake Roundup now has it’s very own wine, “8 Second Red.”. If you haven’t tried this yet, it will be served at the “Loadin Chute” tent, formerly known as the “VIP” tent at the Moses Lake Roundup this weekend. They have 380 bottles left of the wine, and it is delicious.
Two friends, Amanda Miller and Seth Davis are the innovators that are behind this tasty red blend of “8 Second Red.”. During the 2015 Moses Lake Round Up, the two were having friendly conversation and the idea came up. Seth thought Amanda was being light hearted about it, and joking. Amanda was serious, and began pursuing the process with her longtime friend of 20 years, Seth.
Seth is no stranger to the wine business. He operates Stonebridge Vineyards with his Mother, who operates Foxy Roxy Winery. To say it is in his blood would be an understatement. It was only natural that Foxy Roxy Winery’s Rhonda Davis would be the distributer, with Seth as the producer.
The process took a lot of time, and lot of effort, but there is much to be shown for it. Where can you get this wine other than this week at the Moses Lake Roundup? It is available at Moses Lake Liquor and Wine Store, and also at Michael’s On the Lake in Moses Lake, Washington. At Porterhouse Steakhouse (in Moses Lake) you can buy some with your dinner. The wine is available until all remaining 380 bottles of the 400 that were made, sell out, then they will get started on the next label.

The photo on the label was taken by Roseanna Sales, who photographs the Moses Lake Roundup. The label is a perfect representation of the wine, and the Moses Lake Roundup.
There is already talk of adding a white wine to the mix next year. Way to go Amanda Miller and Seth Davis!
